Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2026

The Q Art Hour ("we," "us," or "our") is a Richmond, Virginia-based mission-based organization. We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website or engages with our programs — especially LGBTQ+ youth artists and community members. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate our programs and communicate with our community. This may include:

  • Name, email address, and pronouns provided through contact or application forms
  • Demographic information voluntarily shared as part of the artist application process
  • Payment information processed through secure third-party ticketing services — we do not store payment data directly

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to inquiries and process artist applications
  • Send program updates, show announcements, and relevant communications
  • Improve the experience of our website and programs
  • Fulfill legal and compliance requirements

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

Youth Privacy

We are especially attentive to the privacy of LGBTQ+ youth. We do not publicly identify artists under 18 without explicit written consent from both the artist and a parent or guardian. We treat all personal information shared by youth participants with the highest level of care and confidentiality. For applicants under 18, we ask for a parent or guardian’s name and contact information as part of the application, and participation in our programs requires signed parent or guardian consent. We collect only the information we need to review applications, and we never share a young person’s information — including their LGBTQ+ identification — beyond our program team.

Cookies & Analytics

Our website does not currently use analytics, tracking cookies, or advertising technology. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at hello@theqarthour.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
